Jin Lee Baobei is an award-winning dancer, DJ, educator, & multidisciplinary artist originally from the Bay Area, California.

Primarily known for dance, Jin’s background spans over the course of 15+ years and comprises multiple styles; hip hop, house, Chinese folk, contemporary/modern, & vogue.

Jin’s eclectic movement style has led them to co-choreograph and perform for the Paris Opera, debut as a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance (Season 18), and be awarded the Isadora Duncan Outstanding Achievement in Performance award. They’ve performed at venues such as Webster Hall, The House of Blues, The A’s Stadium, the Asian Art Museum, and the Academy of Sciences. In the commercial industry, notable collaborations include Nike, Apple, Garage Clothing, Arc’teryx, and more.

Since becoming a professional dancer, Jin has positioned movement as a central collaborator with other mediums. DJ’ing, modeling, fashion, performance, and film are staples in their creative repertoire and has continued to enrich Jin’s multidisciplinary perspective.

Regardless of the project, storytelling is the touchstone of Jin’s artistic practice. Movement, music, fashion, visuals, and performance become tools to explore personal experiences and emotions, inviting audiences to practice empathy within a safe container.
